Abundant Silence Programs
for Composers & Students

Our Programs for Living Composers

Our programs for living composers help to keep new music alive and thriving in the 21st century. We offer programs for professional composers to help stimulate their work and for student composers to help them explore creative composition.

Composition Contest

Our composition contest is open for entries each year from February 1st through May 31st.  This contest is open to composers age 18+ and is currently for works for 1-5 performers.

Featured Composition Artist & Educator

The Abundant Silence board of directors selects a current Featured Composition Artist and Featured Composition Educator to highlight outstanding compositional work and contributions to 21st century music.

Festival for Creative Pianists

The Festival for Creative Pianists is a great way for students to learn creative improvisation and composition techniques in a piano performance festival setting.

Annual New Works Concert

Our annual new works concert highlights the composition contest winners and works by our featured composers.  This concert takes place the last Saturday of every January in Denver, CO and is live streamed at www.openingnightlive.net.
