From the Preface, by Aaron S. Ricucci-Hill
I find the modern countertenor to be a truly fascinating voice type. However, finding repertoire is a challenge. True, there are the standard Baroque fare with the towering cathedral that is Sr. George Fredrick Händel looming over the pile. However, even that can be troublesome. While all voices tend to have to piece together their repertoire from a variety of sources, the main voices have collections of pieces at their disposal to help get an idea of current or future pieces to sing. The countertenor, sadly, does not really have this option. It is because of that very need that I created this anthology.
